My family and I had a great time at this wonderful house. Lots of toys for the kids to play with and they really enjoyed the pool. The rooms and beds where comfortable. Andrea made us a wonderful typical Sicilian meal on our of our nights once the kids where all in bed. The location is also great. Easy travel to Mount Etna, Taormina, Syracusa, Catania, and the village of Trecastagni was very nice with several good resturants.

Wonderful enormous villa with views Etna and Mediterranean. Lots of activities in Villa for children- table tennis basketball toys swings and large pool. Well equipped kitchens. Lots of space for relaxing Easy walk to restaurants, home delivered buffet on first night from Andrea very delicious.

We had an excellent experience at Villa Del Cavaliere Grillo. This home is charming, large and accommodating. It easily accommodated 19 of us comfortably as well as served as a perfect idyllic location for a beautiful reunion with our father’s extended family.
The owners were lovely and responsive. We would absolutely rent this location again in the future.

We stayed at the end of May with family ranging from children, teens, parents and grandparents and all really loved this Villa. The house is lovely and pool is large and clean with stunning views. The teens enjoyed the table tennis, pool table and basket ball court. Near to a nice village with some good restaurants. Guilia and Enzo were really helpful and friendly hosts. We all really enjoyed it and would recommend it.

The villa was excellent, just as described and pictured, for our December trip with a group of 15, ranging in age from 9 to 80, with lost of space to either congregate or to find privacy. -The host/owner met and oriented us to the workings and history of his house. He and his wife provided an excellent buffet dinner on our first night, with plenty of delicious food left over. -The walk into town takes somewhat more than 10 minutes, and is gradually uphill all the way which did not deter the younger folk. -With a car there is easy access to Etna, Catania, Taormina and Syracuse, closer attractions, groceries and restaurants. -A minor disappointment, told to us in advance: the swimming pool was not working. The younger folk, determined to swim, were able to get a dip in the Mediterranean. A minor seasonal (?) annoyance was intermittent smoke from a nearby pit of smoldering bush and tree trimmings. -Overall, a great place to stay with a group - highly recommended!

The villa is superbly situated within easy walking distance of the lovely little town, with its bars, trattorias and food shops. The villa is very spacious, delightfully furnished, and ideal for a large group (there were 13 of us). It felt like a much-loved real home, not just a holiday house. It has magnificent views down towards the coast and up towards Mt. Etna. The gardens are secure and well-maintained, with plenty of shade from mature trees. The pool is large and clean, and ideal for a good swim each day. The owner, Andrea, was welcoming and charming, and he and his lovely wife provided us with two excellent meals of typical Sicilian food. We all felt very relaxed, and would love to return.

A huge villa with 10 bedrooms with a mix of double and single beds, the place was perfect for our group of 18. There are several large public areas (so you can always find a corner to read a book). The walls are covered with art and the furnishings 'eclectic' - something for everyone! There are 4 kitchen so it can work for tight-knit or loser connections of people. The garden is huge and the pool clean. We had a catered meal at the villa that was lovely (they created vegan and veggie items for us). Trescastgni is nice - not stunning, but Taomina and Etna are close by. You'll need your satnav to get around - the roads are super confusing! We had a great time and would stay again with a large group. Thanks Gulia and Andrea

My family of 17 ppl stayed here for a week and it was the best location, views and setting for us all to reunite with plenty of space and appartments that could be sectioned off or open - a huge pool area to enjoy! The hosts did an amazing job in meeting us for check in and had great communication ensuring our stay was comfortable. The town with shops and restaurants were only a short walk away making it very easy to get around - highly recommend staying here and with a car you can drive around to all the tourist spots very easily.

We were 22 people and this house have great space both in- and outside. Pitty that it does not have a big kitchen, now it is four small. The two bedrooms on the top floor is rather warm. Only one bedroom has aircondition the rest have good fans. It is great with so many bathrooms The pool is great and the view is fantastic !

A great place for large parties. Lovely pool with views of Etna and the sea. Car hire was worth doing particularly if you want to swim in sea and for some of my less mobile friends getting to restaurants.

We had such a lovely stay in this Villa. Communication was perfect and very friendly, and the house is very spacious. The pool area and the view from it was the highlight. I can recommend this Villa to be taken for a larger group. You have your own space, but can always come together in the community areas like the pool. Had an awesome 30th birthday there.

Andréa nous a permis de passer un séjour inoubliable, pour toute notre grande famille. Il est à l'écoute, répond à chaque question pratique rapidement, nous trouve des solutions aux petits problèmes qui peuvent se présenter. La villa est grande, spacieuse, pratique, sur 3 niveaux, permettant à chacun d'avoir son indépendance puis à toute la famille de se retrouver dans les pièces de vie. L'emplacement et la vue sont superbes, le jardin magnifique avec sa grande piscine. Il y a un terrain de sport, pratique pour les ados. Cette villa est un pied à terre parfait pour rayonner dans l'est de la sicile, y compris jusqu'à Agrigente. L'Etna en arrière de la villa amène une ambiance singulière. A noter enfin qu'Andréa et sa femme sont de vrais cordons bleus, et nous ont cuisinés 2 menus typiquement siciliens exquis. Nous recommandons chaudement cette villa

We had an amazing time at the villa. It was so spacious and had amazing entertaining areas. The garden and outdoor area was also much larger than expected! Andrea was very friendly and gave us a helpful tour of the villa during checkin. Would definitely come back again in the summer to make use of the pool!

Fantastic house for a family reunion for myself and seven brothers and sisters plus partners and close friends. Close enough to the village of Trecastagni to walk for coffee, groceries and dinner. Would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for a large home to accommodate a big group. Thanks for an amazing stay!!

This is a absolute top possibility for a great visit to Sicilia! The house is huge. Have all possible equipment. You don't have to bring more than a pair of trouses. Everything is clean and function without any problem. I have stayed in the villa for one week surrounde of al my offspring. Twenty small and bigger persons. We used one of the big living rooms on the ground floor for breakfast and dinner, when not eating out. The terrace had more than sufficient furniture and was headed towards east anx the rising sun over the mare ionica. We ate the breakfast outside in flodding sunlight. Noone had any feeling of claustrfobia. When my relatives entered the different sleeping rooms or bathroom I feeled as being alone due to the big volume of the house. We had a greate dinner cooked by our host Andrea and his wife without any work for us. I can strongly recomment everyone a stay in this fantastic house, enviroment and all kind of activity connected with it. Mvh Thore Solum

Schöne Villa mit wahnsinnig viel Platz und tollen Möglichkeiten zum Zeitvertreib. Wir hatten in der Villa einen wunderbaren Weihnachtsurlaub mit der ganzen Familie. Es gibt unfassbar viel Platz. Garten, Pool und Haus sind sehr schön und bieten vielfältige Möglichkeiten zum Entspannen am Kaminfeuer, Yoga auf dem Rasen, Basketball, Tischtennis und Billiard. Das Haus ist stabil und sicher gebaut, Erdbeben der Stärke 4,9 hat gerade mal ein Bild von der Wand geholt. Der Ausblick vom Garten über die Insel und auf den Ätna ist absolut einmalig. Die Küchen sind super ausgestattet, kochen für 15 Personen in 2 Küchen hat wunderbar geklappt. Die Schlafzimmer sind gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Bäder könnten eine Renovierung vertragen, waren aber völlig ausreichend. Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern lief absolut super. Andrea war felxibel und für uns da, hat sich um alles gekümmert und immer sofort geantwortet. Check-in Alles in allem ein absolut gelungener Aufenthalt, gerne wieder.

Das Haus hat eine tolle Lage mit Blick aufs Meer und den Ätna. Es eignet sich aufgrund der Größe und Bauart perfekt für große Gruppen. Das WiFi ist perfekt. Der Erhaltungszustand ist „sizilianisch“. Vor allem könnten die Bäder etwas Aufmerksamkeit vertragen. Kommunikation und Freundlichkeit was top.

Wij waren met een groep wielrenners en huurden voor het 25e jaar een huis, maar dit was een van de mooiste en meest aangename. Hoewel we met met maximale aantal personen waren was er meer dan genoeg ruimte. Het huis is zeer groot, maar voelt erg aangenaam. Ook de tuin en het zwembad zijn geweldig. Zoals op de foto's is het huis en het zwembad ook in het echt. Eigenlijk overtrof het huis onze verwachtingen. Voor meerdere gezinnen van een grote familie is het huis bij uitstek geschikt. Er zijn meerdere (zeer grote) huiskamers en keukens en veel badkamers. Dit is ook meteen het enige minpuntje voor een groep zoals wij: er is niet één hele grote keuken om voor de hele groep te koken. Toch was een van keukens beneden voldoende groot voor ons. Het zwembad, de tuin en alle ligbedden en stoelen eromheen zijn eveneens geweldig. Naast de gewone handdoeken waren er ook badlakens in overvloed. Het contact met de eigenaren was goed, erg vriendelijk en ze waren gastvrij en flexibel. Kortom, de prijs/kwaliteit verhouding was uitstekend en wij hebben een heel fijn verblijf gehad.

We came to stay for a work away week with a group of 14 adults. There was plenty of space and lots of bedrooms so never felt cramped. A highlight was the view and outdoor space. There is an amazing view from the terraces and pool looking out. The kitchens and living space had all of the amenities needed for the stay with well stocked kitchens in terms of utensils. The wifi connection was good across the ground floor too. It was a quick walk into the town with local restaurants and lots of supermarkets an easy drive away. Check in was very easy and Enzo was a great help over our trip with any questions. Would definitely recommend staying.
