Flawless! Amazing time! Not a thing anyone can say bad. We were a goup of 8 and had the very best time! Enough room for everyone. Kitchen is stocked with everything you need. Was left fruit and snacks along with homemade Limioncello. Everything was perfect, clean and host was amazing! Highly recommend! Close to everything in town, store etc.

Abbiamo trascorso un ottimo soggiorno in questa splendida casa. Si trova in una posizione ideale per scoprire tutta la Sicilia orientale, con un facile accesso all'Etna, a Catania, a Siracusa o a Taormina.

La casa è molto bella, perfettamente attrezzata, molto pulita e molto piacevole da vivere. Tutto è pronto per trascorrere una vacanza molto bella in famiglia o con gli amici.

La piscina è una vera gioia, particolarmente apprezzabile con le temperature siciliane! L'ambiente è tranquillo, piacevole e permette davvero di godere appieno della vacanza.

Conserveremo un ottimo ricordo del nostro soggiorno e consigliamo questa casa senza esitazione!

We had a great stay at Villa Nel Monte. The property is spacious for 8 people and we were very comfortable for 2 weeks. Note that 4 of the beds (2 singles and a double) are separate from the main house with its own entrance (could be important if staying with children). Lidia and the family were excellent hosts providing us with local information, transfers to and from the airport and general advice. When we stayed Mount Etna was very active which meant there was a lot of volcanic dust falling but they regularly cleaned the pool and outside areas. Nicolosi is a lovely town a short walking distance (but be warned that there are no pavements so you need your wits about you!). There were plenty of restaurants and bars and the town square always had something going on.

Thank you so much - had a wonderful time at Villa Nel Monte! Loved the pool, the table football and the gorgeous gardens in particular! We felt super well looked after and the owners were amazingly kind, helpful and thoughtful. The villa is an amazing location for visiting Mt. Etna and a good base to explore Catania/Taormina - the local area of Nicolosi is also great for restaurants/etc. A really special family holiday - thank you.

We had a fantastic week staying here! The villa was extremely clean and well equipped, and the location is fantastic with views of Etna. The villa is walkable into Nicolosi which has nice shops and great restaurants - just be mindful of restaurant opening times as sometimes Google is incorrect. We also really recommend car hire from the airport to get around (getting beaches for example) however Lidia did provide us with an excellent recommendation for a taxi so there are options.

We had a completely fabulous stay for a family holiday at Giulia’s place! It was a beautiful location, in a great spot close to a lovely little village. There was lots of room for all of us, and we felt right at home straight away, in part due to the home-made treats Giulia had left for us which were all delicious! We had a bit of trouble with the internet while we were there, which we believe was a fault with the network, and Giulia and the team did their best to try and rectify this, though sadly we didn’t manage to use any WiFi throughout our stay which wasn’t ideal (but not our hosts’ fault!) As other reviews mention, there are dogs at neighbouring properties which are constantly loud, but again not something the team can help and once we put our earbuds in we were no longer bothered about it, so pack earplugs ☺️ The cats at the property were also delightful, and we would have taken one home if we could!! Overall we had a wonderful stay, and would recommend it to everyone.

La casa es muy cómoda y bonita, bien cuidada y la entregaron muy limpia. La zona del jardín es maravillosa con una barbacoa estupenda. La piscina de un tamaño muy bueno ymuy limpia. Y con numerosos juegos como futbolín, ping pong… Tiene unas vistas excelentes al Etna. Por último, el trato recibido por Lidia y su madre ha sido maravilloso, pendientes tanto de que estuviéramos a gusto en la casa como dando sugerencias de actividades y ayudas de reservas.

Had a lovely stay. We were 2 families (4 adults and 5 kids) and there was plenty of room. Beautiful Villa with lovely amenities. The pool and gardens were great. Views of Etna and a dormant crater behind the house that you could walk up and get panoramic island views. Hosts were fantastic and left us lots of goodies at check in including a large homemade cake which was delicious!! Easy walk up hill into town for restaurants. 10-15 minutes walk with kids. Would stay again

We had the best time in the Villa. It’s was a great size, kids loved to pool and play area. It was equipped with everything you could possibly of needed and loads of thoughtful little touches. We didn’t have a car but was super easy to get around everywhere on foot. We would love to come back sometime .

Vi hade en fantastisk vistelse och jag kan varmt rekommendera det här huset! Vi var tre barnfamiljer som bodde här i en vecka, och det var verkligen perfekt för oss – gott om utrymme, trivsam miljö och allt vi behövde fanns på plats. Värden var supertrevlig och lätt att ha att göra med. Snabba svar och många bra tips gjorde vistelsen ännu bättre. Det finns tre katter i trädgården som våra barn älskade att leka med. De är väldigt söta och sociala! Tänk bara på att stänga dörrarna snabbt. Vi åker gärna tillbaka!

Our stay was amazing from the moment we got there. The house had everything we needed and some necessities left for us including a lovely cake. Plenty of room for 5 of us in the house. Felt very comfortable and homely. It also felt very secure. The outside was very well maintained with the lovely pool, lots of umbrellas and sun loungers. A lovely big outdoor table which we often used in the evening. The cats were very friendly and being cat owners we made friends easily! Nicolosi 10 mins walk with lovely restaurants and bars. With only a week there, it went very quickly as we went to Mount Etna, Taormina and Catania. Easily accessible with the car. We particularly enjoyed the days at the villa with the pool and peaceful surroundings. Guilia was great with any questions we had and Toti was around to make sure the pool was cleaned and cats fed. I would highly recommend this villa for a peaceful, private and relaxing holiday with family and friends. Thank you Guilia and Toti!

Lovely stay, any questions we asked of the host were answered very quickly to messages. Nice welcoming touches of homemade cake made by the host which was delicious, and we were left some other goodies which was a lovely touch! Villa comes with its own collection of cute cats and three young kittens. They were very lovely and friendly but kept trying to get into the villa, however there are insect doors to keep them out. The location was very good and the villa and garden were beautiful and well looked after. We’d highly recommend staying in this villa.

An amazing villa where to spend holidays in Sicily with your family. We were a group of three families with kids all under age of 7 and this villa accommodated all of us perfectly. We each had enough space to have our privacy, but we were able to enjoy dinner together at the dining table. The outside are is also big and provides entertainment and relaxation options for all.

Our stay at Villa nel Monte was beyond expectations! This gorgeous property had all the amenities listed in the description. The house comfortably accomodated our family which included teems to adults. A walk around the property was an instant tonic as it was beautifully landscaped. The location was near all the Etna adventures we planned for the visit. A bonus was seeing the eruption of Mt. Etna from the garden of this property. The local town of Nicolosi was friendly and we would love to visit again.

Spacious, clean and well-equipped villa. Perfect for our party of 6 adults and 2 children. The separate annex was ideal for the family of 4. Located on the outskirts of Nicolosi, there is a large garden and a good-sized pool. The owners were helpful with communication ahead of our visit and provided transport to/from the airport, and will allowing an early check in as no guests were leaving the day we arrived. The town is a 10-15 minute stroll and has plenty of restaurants. There is a small but well-stocked supermarket 5 minutes walk with a larger supermarket 5 minutes in a car. We even saw Etna put on a show one night, thanks to the owner messaging to say look outside. Overall, a lovely relaxing week.

This is a wonderful, very well equipped house with lovely grounds and a fab pool. Our stay was made even better by Lidia and Giulia being so attentive, including meeting us when we arrived late and providing delicious home made cake and limoncello! We (4 adults and 4 children) particularly loved the walks up the hill at the back of the house with the great Etna views - we spent lots of happy time up there!

Had an amazing stay. Lidia and her mother were lovely and very accommodating, can’t fault them for being really flexible with us when we had a sick child to look after. The villa itself was beautiful and well stocked. The welcome cake by Lidia’s mum as others have mentioned was a lovely touch. We didn’t have the best weather but the view of Etna from the kitchen window when we saw it was amazing. Pool very nice but cold as you can imagine at the end of October! Cats were very friendly and we didn’t find them intrusive at all but there are neighbourhood dogs that come into the garden too but Lidia was able to get them back to their owner when we asked her to. Location wise it’s only a few minutes to a good selection of grocery shops and about 15-20 minutes to Nicolosi. It’s a good base to explore, we went to Aci Trezza and Taormina as well as took a trip up Etna with Ashàra tours which operate out of the south end of Etna. Highly recommend this villa.

We had a lovely week at the villa. The villa was exactly like in the photos and Lidia (with her mother) were great hosts. If you are traveling with kids, this is the place for you! The cats at the property were adorable as well. There are a few shops and nice restaurants nearby, but I recommend renting a car to see more of Sicily for an even better experience.

We had a fantastic stay in this wonderful home. Eventhough we were with a large group, the house didn't feel crowded as the rooms are spacious and there is a lot of outdoor space. The rooms were not noisy at all and beds comfy. Having 3 bathrooms was a luxury. There were many very lovely personal touches in the house and the decorating was tasteful and practical. The pool was a delight and we enjoyed the friendly cats hanging out at the pool with us.

We are just back from a week’s stay. There were 6 of us, 4 adults and 2 teens. The property is fantastic, inside and out. Plenty of space, great pool and a really well equipped and thought out house. Lidia, our host, was perfect. Always available if we ever needed her and ever so helpful and quick to respond. We had a chef, organised by Lidia, come and cook a traditional Sicilian dinner one evening and it was amazing. Finally we must mention Lidia’s Mum who baked us the most delicious orange cake to meet us on our arrival :) 100% highly recommended!

Wir haben mit 6 Freunden eine Woche in der Villa verbracht und waren sehr zufrieden! Zur Begrüßung gab es leckeren, selbstgemachten Kuchen und Limoncello, die Gastgeber waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit und das Haus sehr schön! Es gibt mehrere Katzen, die sich auf dem Grundstück aufhalten und gerne kuscheln falls das für jemanden ein Problem sein sollte. Insgesamt haben wir die Zeit sehr genossen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Villa Nel Monte was a great property with lots of character and different spaces to enjoy. Hosts were communicative and welcoming. The location is a short ~20-30 min drive to key locations around Etna, and very close to vineyards. We chose it for it’s location a little out of Nicolosi, but it was an easy (although not on pavements) 10 min walk into the town for dinner, drinks, or late-night gelato! Domestic dogs do bark as you go by, but that’s normal for the type of area. The barking kept some of us up the first night, but I think we got used to it. The kitchen had everything we could need, including incredible welcome gifts including a homemade cake, olive oil, limoncello, and a huge basket of blood oranges in the fridge! The house came with a cat (outdoors) and its kitty friends, which my son loved, but someone with a cat allergy might find challenging if they want to spend a lot of time in the garden. Overall we had a great time and happily spent a whole day just at the Villa. With swings, see-saw, pool, table-football, etc there was plenty to keep everyone busy! Thanks to the hosts for a great stay!

This was the perfect spot for our family vacation in Sicily! The location was very central for quick trips to Taormina, Siracusa, Etna. The home is amazing … beautiful grounds, lots of gathering places in the gardens, on the decks, near the pool. The space is open and clean, comfortable and full of everything we needed. The bedrooms are all very comfortable, 3 large full bathrooms, and the kitchen is a wonderful place to cook. The large dining room table was the perfect gathering spot for our group at the end of the day. Guilia was in communication with us the whole stay, giving helpful recommendations and responding to questions. Her mother welcomed us when we arrived and left us with a yummy tart, a bottle of homemade limoncello and other treats. … and yes, there are sweet kittens on the property who made our stay even more special. What more could you need?? Do not miss this property if you are traveling to Sicily!

Thanks for an amazing stay! The owners of the villa were very helpfull during our entire stay! We can definately recommend staying at the House. Worth mentioning is that the villa has several cats that live there. Watch out for unattended food on the table outside as they will jump up and eat it. And if the doors are open to the House they will go inside. Our family did not mind the cats and our kids loved spending time with them, but important to know if you dont like cats or have allergies.

This house is absolutely wonderful. It has enough space, is very nicely furnished and the garden is very large. We immediately felt at home and enjoyed our time very much. We especially liked the open living area with the large table and the garden area. Everything was very clean, there were enough towels and there were a few cool drinks in the fridge. And this cottage has the sweetest roommate, namely a small cat, which is incredibly cuddly and trusting. We definitely recommend this accommodation. Thank you very much for the hospitality.

Vi var 6 voksne og tre børn(9,6 og 3år) Giulia havde på opfordring fra os arrangeret to kvinder - mor og datter til at komme og lave traditionel Siciliansk mad til os i to dage. Det var meget velsmagende og der var mad nok til 4 dage. Børnevenligt hus med meget legetøj etc. Alt i alt fremragende ophold. Stedets beliggenhed gør at man bør have bil til rådighed

This was one of the best Air B&B experiences I have ever had. The host was extremely kind and responsive. The space was large enough for all of us to have our own space but still be together. Villa nel Monte is perhaps the best property my wife and I have ever rented. Not only was the house, property and pool beautiful but the owners were very communicative and helpful before we even arrived. The real gold star goes to Lidia who lives near by. She went with the flow when our travels hit a snag, pushing our arrival back a day. She went above and beyond when one of our party suffered a back injury that required a visit to a doctor. She sorted out location of clinic and called ahead to prepare them for our arrival. She, of course, was also only a text away if we needed a suggestion of where to go from restaurants to beaches and just about anything you could think to ask about. She was worth her weight in gold. I highly recommend this location as a wonderful rental and good spot to see so much in that region. Nicolosi itself is a small, quiet town but it too has some nice restaurants and a few pubs that are 10-20 minute walk from the house. Grocery and butcher are a 5 minute walk up the road so easy to stock up for those days you just won't want to leave the pool. And trust me...you will have at least one of those days. Fantastic place!

Can only say wonderful things about our stay. The property was large and absolutely stunning. Everything was clean and tidy. The pool was perfect temperature and very clean. The hosts were spectacular and extremely kind, we felt very at home. They went above and beyond our expectations. The location was nice and central, easy to make day trips throughout Sicily as well as walking distance to the town. I highly recommend this place. I would love to return again. Villa nel Monte was perfect. It is beautifully designed with great accommodation across 3 floors. The indoor communal spaces are great for spending time together and the gardens and the pool are terrific. Having the BBQ is a real plus. There are supermarkets nearby, a great butcher and a wonderful pattiserie in the middle of Nicolosi, just 10 minutes walk away. The owners give great recommendations for things to see and go, and are super responsive for anything you might need. We had a fantastic week at Villa nel Monte!

I had a week stay at villa nel Monte with 6 other adult members of my family. The villa was beautiful, very clean, comfortable beds, great pool, perfect outdoor area and barbecue, well equipped kitchen….we had everything we could have possibly needed! Lidia and her mum were very friendly and super helpful. We arrived much later than scheduled due to an unexpected 2 hours wait for our hire cars but this was not a problem. It was easy to keep in touch with Lidia and she made me feel at ease about the delay. We arrived to a warm welcome from Lidia’s mum and she had a made a fruit tart and limoncello for us (which were delicious) We did day trips by car to Taormina, Catania and Syracuse which were all within easy reach from the villa. I would loved to have stayed for another week to have had more time to enjoy the villa and pool! My family and I would definitely stay again if we returned to Nicolosi in the future.

We booked the villa for my mom’s 80th birthday and both my family and my brother’s family flew in. The hosts were already waiting for us at the properly and had made a special cake! The villa had everything you could want - pots, pans, cups, cutlery, coffee machines, toaster, microwave, etc. We cooked every night and had a great family time around the big kitchen table. We all enjoyed playing table tennis and foosball (unfortunately, couldn’t use the pool as it was still too cold). The garden was well taken care of and so peaceful with many birds chirping around all day long. The host (Lidia) was very responsive and helpful and gave us many tips on where to go and what to do. We took our kids for paragliding and they had an amazing experience. Overall, we had a memorable time at the villa and would highly recommend it, especially for family vacations.

Villa Bel Monte is a beautiful villa. The owners were wonderful to work with prior to our stay as during our stay. We were greeted upon arrival. There was a homemade cake as well as fruit and beverages. The grounds are beautiful. The villa is very comfortable and easily accommodated 3 couples and 2 single adults. The location is in Nicolosi which is within walking distance of the villa and offers some outstanding restaurants, patisseries and grocery stores. The airport in Catania is about 25 minutes from the villa. The kitchen is well equipped and organized. The beds and showers were comfortable. We would not hesitate to rent at Villa Nel Monte again!!!

A very spacious and relaxing house. The pool is just great and is cleaned regularly. There are plenty of toys for children. The house is fully equipped and is in good condition. The garden is planted green and very large. But the hostess is the highlight of the house. A wonderful helpful and warm woman who is available around the clock for questions and support.

Villa Nel Monte is a beautiful villa set in a lovely garden against the fabulous backdrop of Mount Etna. The swimming pool was wonderful, a great size, warm and clean . The garden was stunning with lots of trees and well tended flowers. We enjoyed selecting herbs for our cooking each day .The villa was extremely well appointed , comfortable beds and plenty of bathrooms. We enjoyed the generous amounts of glasses, cutlery etc , plenty for 8 people selecting drinks etc throughout the day.
The hosts were absolutely wonderful: warm, kind and with excellent communication. Nothing was too much trouble for Lidia who was on hand at all times with suggestions, comments or kind enquiries. The generous amount of food and drink which they gave to us was so enjoyed and appreciated. This included a pie, ice cream and Limocello all home made and totally delicious.
We have returned home with happy memories of a very special holiday. Thank you

Villa absolutely fantastic to stay. The owner really taking care of everything going well on holiday. Nicolosi is a lively town with plenty of restaurants where you can walk from villa. We had a car, so easy to visit Taormina, Siracusa, Etna etc. Highly recommended!

Fantastic villa with everything you could want for a relaxing holiday, clean plenty of outside space and a beautiful clean pool. Lidia was easy to get hold of and recommended a couple of tour companies for us, we used one of her recommendations, Etnalcantara, and the tour was good. Lidia's mother met us at the villa and showed us where everything was and how much to feed the cats! It really is a short walk into town for bars, restaurants and a small supermarket. Would certainly stay here again.

Definitely the best accommodation in Sicily to stay in. Super clean. Super comfy. Beautiful surroundings. Lovely hosts. Genuinely we could not fault this place. It’s better than the photos show. Lidia and her mum went above and beyond.

Villa Nel Monte is one of the best properties we have stayed in, as a family of six grown-ups. The large kitchen-diner lends itself well to family lunches and dinners. The annex allows the more sedate in a group to escape early in the evenings if they need to. Bathrooms and bedrooms have everything you need and are well designed. Seating areas outside and the private pool are excellent. The photos do not do it justice! If you are seeking a luxury Villa, fully equipped with everything you need, within view of the majestic Etna, this is the one for you. Host Lidia and her family also make sure you are comfortable and the welcome food and drinks are delicious! Also, very important, great aircon, and plenty of land surrounding the Villa to assure your privacy.

Das Haus ist in einem super Zustand. Garten und Pool sind gepflegt und schön. Die Kommunikation mit den Verantwortlichen war einwandfrei. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind direkt in der Nähe. Ich kann die Unterkunft nur empfehlen! Vielen Dank

A beautiful home through and through. Well-appointed with thoughtful touches from baby bibs to outdoor table linens made our stay truly feel like home. The grounds are so well kept and elevate the ambiance. The location was ideal for day tripping to different areas around Sicily and perfect for walking into town for dinner. Our family of 8 was comfortable and enjoyed our week's stay - would return!

The house was clean and prepared when we arrived. Communication with the keyholder was no problem and if we had questions we got an answer in under an hour. The location of the house was great and we had a beautiful view onto Etna. All in all it was a very relaxing place to stay.

We hebben met 5 volwassenen en 4 kinderen deze villa gehuurd. Vanaf het begin af aan was het supergoed geregeld. We hadden voor aankomst via whatsapp contact met de eigenaar die ons alle leuke plekken van de omgeving heeft getipt. De villa staat net buiten het centrum van Nicolisi op loopafstand van verschillende restaurants, bakker, slager, etc. De villa is geweldig en van alle gemakken voorzien. Bedden, douches, internet, keuken is perfect en in hele goede staat. Het huis bestaat uit begane grond met douche, toilet, keuken, wasmachinehok. Op de 1e verdieping zijn 3 slaapkamers met een 2 persoonsbed, waar nog een klein kinderbed bij geschoven kan worden en een douche, toilet. Schuin onder het huis zit een prima gastenverblijf met een 2-persoonbed en 2 losse bedden, ook weer met een douche, toilet. Tijdens ons verblijf zijn we naar de Etna (noordzijde + zuidzijde), Syracuse, Taormina, Alcantara-kloof en Pantalica geweest (alles binnen 1h rijden).

The house is beautiful and well equipped. There’s a great garden and two lovely cats. The hosts were very kind and helpful. We could check in earlier and check out later, which was very nice of them. There‘s only one little negative aspect: The pool wasn‘t cleaned regularly and the water in the pool was very cold. We would recommand villa nel monte to everyone, who wants to have great time in Sicily.

Thank you very much for your review. You are welcome to come back any time. It was a pity that the weather was not at its best during your stay. The pool is cleaned at least twice a week, however due to the rain that has come down during that week the pool did not appear as clear as it normally is, and colder than it is at this time of the year. For future guests of Villa nel Monte, the two very friendly and reserved cats, are only allowed in the garden.

Many thanks to Katia and her daughter Lidia for the most amazing experience I have ever had in a rented holiday home. I travel a lot and I am used to rent luxury properties around the world, and I can confidently say that this property was by far the cleanest, best equipped I have ever experienced. The welcome was something else, a freshly baked home made cake and several local products were left for us to enjoy... Katia and Lidia were the perfect hosts, so kind and friendly. We had an amazing time and we will certainly be back. Thanks thanks thanks.

Das Haus mit dem tollen Pool hat der ganzen Familie sehr gut gefallen. In der näheren Umgebung kann man sehr gut einkaufen. Das Haus ist für Selbstversorger sehr gut ausgestattet. Zum Glück haben alle Zimmer eine Klimaanlage. Verschiedene Terassen erlauben zu den unterschiedlichen Tageszeiten ein Ausweichen in den Schatten. Man hat einen tollen Blick auf den Ätna. Die vor Ort Betreuung durch die Familie war sehr herzlich.

That property was perfect for our family. The pool was so relaxing after days of sightseeing. The playground on the upper terrace was enjoyed by our grandchildren. A hike to the crater in the back yard is not to be missed. A panoramic view of the area was amazing. We were greeted with food and wine that prevented us from making a trip to the store on our arrival. Several markets were in close proximity. Lydia and Tito were prompt in addressing any issues with the property. We were fortunate to experience many light shows from Mt. Etna from the upper terrace. It was truly amazing! It was a comfortable house for 7 adults and 2 children.

By far the best air bnb! The accommodation is really nice and lokally The hospitality from Lidia and her mom where really good! I would book this house again without any doubt. For the next traveler. If you use Google maps please search Villa Nel Monte. The adres is not good and you can not found the house. If you search Villa Nel monte you wil find it directly. The only thing you have by careful about is the street dogs. The dogs alsow walk in the garden of the house. There is a small whole in the fence. So if you travel with kids please look out for the dogs.

For future guests, the hole has not be found. As this never happened before the dogs most probably have accessed the property through the gate remained open. So we advise it to keep it closed to avoid any intrusion. :)

Awesome place. You even have your "own" little Volcano next to the house. The house is one of the best I have stayed in. Literally, everything you can think of is provided including some food items and homemade Limoncello to start the vacation. Love to come back!

Katia and Toti are really great hosts for such a luxury place. They took care for everything, great equipment, very good self made food such as pie cake, saisonal fruits and Jam. They were reachable at any time and they kept in the background at the same time. The house is absolutely the same as in description and pictures. It is very stylish and tasteful furnished. Very child-friendly as well as our almost 3-years-old confirmed????

Toti’s house is a beautiful place, very well furnished, and decorated with taste. Our hosts were very kind and wellcoming. We found a homemade cake and the basics supplies such as milk, water, pasta, wine, beers... you even have a playground for the kids!!! The pool is great too. we can only recommand toti’s house !! Thank you Toti !!!

Een prachtig huis dat eigenlijk volledig nieuw is. Veel speel toestellen voor kinderen en ruime slaapkamers voor de hele familie. Alles werkt prima. Het zwembad is erg mooi, alleen nog een beetje koud. Bij binnenkomst stond een heerlijke zelfgebakken pannetone voor ons klaar.

This is a beautiful house with great attention to detail! Very beautiful design details. Pleasant areas by the pool, play area, breakfast area and barbecue. Very comfortable bed, quality linen, air conditioning. The kitchen is fully organized. There is everything you need for cooking. The owner prepared us many presents and an incredible pistachio cake. VERY, VERY, VERY DELICIOUSLY!
