Prachtig huis en tuin met zwembad. Ruim, alles aanwezig, o.a. ook bedje en stoel voor onze baby. Mooi uitzicht. Rustig.

Wij hebben genoten van de ruimte in het huis, het zwembad en vooral de rust en natuur om ons heen. Het huis ligt in de bergen waar je volledig privé zit. We werden ontvangen door sleutelhouder Giuseppe die goed te bereiken was voor eventuele vragen tussendoor. Voor tips hadden we contact met Giulia. Het zwembad is niet verwarmd, maar dat mocht de pret niet drukken. De kinderen hebben elke dag gezwommen. De keuken was goed uitgerust. Er zit een kleine supermarkt in Gaggi, maar met 20 minuten rijden ben je bij een grote supermarkt waar ze alles hebben. De Etna en mooie plekken zoals Taormina zijn goed te bereiden. Kortom, een geweldige week en aanrader!

Villa is great - really spacious, well equipped and as described. Location is isolated and peaceful - you'll need a car, and the track leading to the villa isn't in good condition, our 1l hire car struggled a bit! Beds were comfy, shower was good, everything was clean and well organised. Pool was lovely (if chilly in October), but you'd need to take care with small kids as there are some steep drops next to the pool. Ours (10 and 12) were fine with some pre-warning. Views from the bedrooms were great, lovely waking up to the view looking down the valley to the sea!

Außergewöhnliche Villa mit tollem Grundriss. Sehr viel Privatsphäre, da mitten in der Natur. Der Pool ist groß und tief. Die Aussicht auf die Hügel und das Meer ist traumhaft. Was die Innnenausstattung angeht: es war alles da. Besonders gefallen hat uns, dass es reichlich Handtücher/Badetücher gab. Die Alcantara Schlucht ist nur 5 min. Autofahrt entfernt und unbedingt sehenswert. Das Wasser in der Schlucht ist ziemlich kühl, was im Sommer eine Wohltat ist. Ein Mietauto ist ein Muss, da das nächste Dorf - mit Restaurants, Supermärkten, Bäckereien - nicht zu Fuß erreichbar ist. War für uns auch eine ideale Ausgangslage zum Vulkan Ätna. Fazit: Eine wunderbare Lage & ein beeindruckendes Haus.

The house is great and has a magnificent view over the valley. Wonderful pool and a very private location. Easy to go to nearby cities and villages by car. Great location for exploring the South- and eastern part of Sicily. We had a wonderful week in the house.

The check-in was flexible and easily arranged. The villa was beautiful and very comfortable for two couples, located outside of the city which makes it easy to unplug and relax. Thanks for a lovely stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa alcantara,
The below itself is beautiful. We enjoyed the pool area. Lots of space the kitchen is well stocked with cutlery and crockery. I would recommend the Villa for a family stay. It is a single dirt track to the Villa which is pretty scary and a steep hill but you do get used to it .
Guiseppe the caretaker was excellent, help us to book in easily and showed us around, always available and gave some good suggestions.

Etwas schwierige Auffahrt, mit VW Golf aber machbar. Hin und wieder Besuch von einem harmlosen und netten Pferd bekommen. Pool war sehr sauber mit Top Aussicht.

Superbe, la maison, le lieu ..... quelle chence d'avoir pu séjourner dans cette maison idéale ! L'étage avec la piscine est commun on y vit tous ensemble, les chambres en sous sols sont lumineuses malgré tout et super confortable surtout la suite parentale avec la superbe salle de bain . On a adoré ce lieu paisible ..... Deux petites remarques, l'escalier esthétiquement magique qui descend au centre de la piscine nous à un peu effrayé avec les enfants, mais il est très visuel, peut être qu'un petit filet sécuriserait le risque de chute ....? L'accès par un chemin assez rustique interdit l'accés en voiture base, mais ces deux détails ne nous empècherons pas de revenir dans ce lieu de quiétude et cette maison très agréable à vivre. Guilia nous a gentillement proposé de rester une matinée de plus, car les hotes suivant n'arrivaient pas de suite ..... bref super adresse .... super acceuil .....

Ideallic house with breathtaking views. House is very well equipped and comfy. Far lovlier than the pictures can give credit. Great access to the Alcantara Gorge and a lovely restaurant close by. Giuseppe, the key holder, was very helpful and passionate about the local area. Road leading to the property is a little hairy but to be expected given the remote location. It is essential to have a car staying here as amenities are a drive away. Bit longer than 10 minutes to get to Taormina. Showers were a bit temperamental but again, this is to be expected in Sicily, especially for a property in the mountains. Giuseppe was always on hand and available to support. A wonderful stay and we would highly recommend it.

Loved it! Giuseppe - the villa caretaker - was lovely, helpful and informative. The villa is exactly like the pictures - modern, great equipment and a fantastic pool and outdoor space with great views. The bedrooms - particularly the master - are spacious and cool (because they’re downstairs). The beaches, Taormina, The Gole Alcantara are all within a 20 minute drive, but there are so many places to visit and things to do - Etna is a must!

Wow! This place was spectacular and Giuseppe was incredible! He responded quickly to our questions and provided excellent suggestions for local interests. He also welcomed us with wine, bread and cheese which was thoughtful as we had been travelling a long way. Loved the kitchen; we cooked almost evert night...the supermarket was a 10 minute drive. The bedrooms were great as was the air conditioning. Paradise the restaurant was at the bottom of the hill which was great if we didn't want to cook. Highly recommend this place...thanks for the warm welcome and hospitality.

Très bonne communication avec Giulia et Victor en amont de la réservation. Très bonne communication également avec Giuseppe (et sa famille) le détenteur de clefs, qui a su être accueillant et réactif à nos sollicitations. La villa est spacieuse et magnifique. La vue est top et le calme appréciable. Malgré des températures peu élevées la nuit à cette époque de l'année, les enfants ont pu profiter de la piscine un peu fraîche. Il y a tout à disposition, la cuisine est équipée (sans micro-onde). Nous avions même quelques produits locaux offerts à disposition à notre arrivée. Attention pour ceux avec un enfant en bas âge, il n'y a pas de sécurité autour de la piscine et quelques escaliers à l'intérieur mais avec une bonne surveillance tout se passe bien ????. Un lit bébé a été mis à disposition également.

Excellent place to stay for a family holiday. Private, peaceful and close enough to nearby towns and attractions. The pool especially was a standout. Hosts were communicative and provided helpful instructions and recommendations. Having a car is a must, but it is well worth the trip up the hill to the accommodation. Would definitely recommend!

Alcantara Villa is a beautiful, modern architectural masterpiece set in the most gorgeous and peaceful rural setting. The location is private and quiet... And the POOL was so awesome! The location is nestled in between some great restaurants and quaint little towns, so getting what you need is a simple 15-30 min drive. You will most definitely need a rental vehicle, preferably 4WD, with full coverage. It's a tricky drive up and down the hill. The wifi was a little spotty but expected in such a rural area. The property manager was very responsive and helpful. The villa was perfect to rest and recharge. What a memorable vacation! We fell in love with the beauty of Sicily and the warmth of its people. We will most certainly be back!

Property was good. Owners were great and responsive. View from villa is lovely. Locally there is just the nearby resturant that is very nice but we thought menu limited and also pricey. Most days we went into Tao which is fabulous. You just need to accept the 30 min drive each way.

Stayed with our two adult sons and Nephew. Great base for touring .house is really special unbelievable views, wonderful to wake up to each day. Great sunsets from the deck. The nearby restaurant paradise does a wonderful job and it’s just a short walk down the hill. You really feel like you were in the country in a secluded space but you can easily be by the seashore for shopping and lunch. We would love to try the house in season. House manager was very attentive dishwasher broke and was replaced within a day on Easter weekend. We cooked Easter dinner at home and were able to enjoy some family time.

As expected. Modern contemporary villa in a superb setting. Peaceful and quiet with stunning views. The nearby Paradise Restaurant was excellent but the only one within possible walking distance (hence the 4 star location rating) The access road is a sleep dirt track and a 4x4 is recommended but not essential. The property manager, Giuseppe, was unfortunately ill during our stay but as we had no questions nor issues we had no need to contact him (hence the 1 star rating) The villa was equipped with everything one could want and would have no hesitation in recommending it to others. A great base from which to explore this area of North East Sicily.

Les plus : La maison en elle-même est magnifique, avec une vue à couper le souffle. L'accueil est excellent. Merci à Giuseppe et sa famille qui sont adorables. Petite épicerie, et délicates attentions comme une bouteille de vin, d'huile d'olive, des pâtes, de la sauce tomate, des olives et du pain vous attendent à l'arrivée. L'environnement est très sympathique, et vous rencontrerez certainement deux adorables petits chats qui sont habitués à se faire nourrir par les vacanciers. (je plaide coupable aussi) Petit supermarché (mais bien achalandé) dans Gaggi à 5 mn de la maison, et plus gros (I gabbiani, Eurospin) à 15 mn. Les moins : L'équipement intérieur ne correspond pas (ou plus ?) au standing de la maison : tapis tachés, sofas hors d'âge, literie à changer (inconfortable) , pas de micro-ondes ni de cafetière à dosettes (cafetiere italienne qui fait du très bon café ou cafetiere a filtre), table extérieure pleine de taches de graisse, coussins tachés, une seule taille de plat à four... Cette superbe maison mériterait un entretien courant plus poussé (ex : poignée de porte cassée qui ne nécessite qu'une vis pour être remise en place) même si la propreté était globalement satisfaisante. A ce niveau de prix, on s'attend à un équipement moins "daté" et mieux entretenu.

Grandiose Aussicht, fantastischer Pool! Aufteilung der Villa einzigartig! Bei diesem Preis allerdings erwarte ich eine qualitativ bessere Ausstattung, insbesondere der Möbel. Auch könnte noch mehr auf Sauberkeit geachtet werden. Alles in Allem haben wir dort eine tolle Woche erlebt.

Wir hatten eine schöne Woche im Haus mit sechs Erwachsene und zwei Kleinkindern. Der Pool und der Ausblick ins Tal sind einfach unbezahlbar. Die Kommunikation und Hilfe durch Guiseppe war einfach sensationell. Wir haben im Vorfeld ohne Aufpreis einen zweiten Kinderstuhl erhalten und wurden mit Tipps zu Ausflügen und Restaurants versorgt. Vom Haus aus kann man schöne Ausflüge machen, z.B. zum Strand (ca. 25 Minuten), zu kleinen Städtchen (Taormina oder Randazzo ca. 35-40 Minuten) oder der Gole Alcantara (ca. 10 Minuten). Der nächste gute Supermarkt ist ca. 20 Minuten entfernt. Man ist sehr abgelegen am Berghang, was sehr schön ist. Der Weg zum Haus (ca. 400m) ist jedoch etwas abenteuerlich, eng und hat am Ende nochmal eine extreme Steigung zum Haus. Eine gute Autoversicherung ist ein Muss. Es gibt leider nur ein kleines Sonnensegel und ansonsten keine Schirme oder Bäume, dadurch gibt es nur wenig Schatten leider. Wir hatten uns daher im Supermarkt für 20€ einen Schirm besorgt. Wir werden die gemeinsame Zeit im Haus und den wahnsinns Ausblick noch lange Erinnerung haben. Danke an Giulia und Guiseppe!

Hvis du vi bo rigtig godt, som i RIGTIG godt, langt fra turistfælderne og med stilhed & udsigt er dette stedet. Fantastisk vært, hjælpsom og opmærksom - blev budt velkommen med et udvalg af forskellige produkter, - brød, pølser & vin. Dejlig pool, huset er rigelig stort til 6 voksne mennesker og der er alt hvad man har brug for, også til et længere ophold. Definitivt et sted vi gerne vil tilbage til.

absolutely perfect stay in peace and quiet away from people. the beach can be reached in 15 minutes by car. the pool is amazing and we used it non-stop. restaurants within 10 minutes by car (where we were almost every day). so I absolutely recommend this house for rest and relaxation.

We had two great weeks in this fantastic apartment! The views over Etna and the sea was amazing! It was plenty of room for a family to hang out and there was always a place in the shade outside during the day. We spent most of the time at the cliffs close to the apartment, perfect for the whole day or just a short swim. The hosts Maria and Franco were most helpful whenever we had questions or needed help! We would love to come back!

Jederzeit wieder Die Bilder vom Online Inserat sind wohl mehr als zehn Jahre alt (siehe Baumwachstum) und sollten aktualisiert werden. Eine Renovierung ist an manchen Stellen angebracht. Bei dem Preis sollte alles Top sein. Die Auffahrt / Zufahrt zum Haus ist die ersten Male eine Herausforderung für Fahrer und Auto (5 er Touring mit Schaltgetriebe). Geländer sind zu niedrig oder nicht vorhanden so dass die Anlage für Kinder die die Gefahr nicht einschätzen können nicht geeignet ist. Der Ausblick ist toll, besonders wenn der Etna aktiv ist. Von der Terrasse sieht man den Bäcker der echt leckeres Brot anbietet. In der Küche fehlt lediglich ein Toaster eine komplette Kaffeemaschine Für die „Sommermonate“ ist der nicht beheizte Pool eine willkommene Abkühlung. Wir hatten dort eine sehr tolle Zeit und haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Stunning home in a beautiful location. The design is really something to behold. The surrounding area is remote, wild and beautiful. The pool is lovely and the views are unmatched. A couple of good restaurants nearby and bakeries and grocery shops in the town below. It’s a great jumping off spot away from the noise of Taormina, but still easy to go for a visit. Also close to many excellent wineries on Etna.

Beautiful modern villa with the best view. Hidden path and small forest roads to go there, a Jeep would be to prefer. The indoor interior is basic but we had everything we could ask for. The outdoor garden is amazing with a large pool and several sun beds. Our stay at this house was just great, beautiful location close to nature and all the vineyards. Good communication with the host. Only thing we didn’t like was that the furniture and carpet was drowned in perfume, good to know if you are allergic. Thank you for a great stay in Sicily.
