Description
A perfect retreat for those looking for a relaxing, peaceful holiday. Casale degli Eremiti offers antique furnishing coupled with modern comforts. There are several lounges and a bright living area with access to the covered terrace and the garden with an Arab looking artefact and a pinewood. The gardens and terraces have areas, which remain cool and shaded throughout the day, and during the summer both lunch and dinner can be taken outdoors in these surroundings. The villa is located in Agrigento province bordering with Trapani and Palermo provinces. Nearby is the village of Santa Margherita di Belice, a strangely, new town dominated by a 1970s conception of futuristic architecture, after a major earthquake in 1968 flattened the original city. The proprty distances 7 km from Sambuca di Sicilia, a more beautiful historic Arab-Norman town and from the lake Lago Arancio. It is a 20 min. drive to the beautiful sandy beach of Porto Palo di Menfi and to the Greek temples of Segesta and Selinunte.
Both bedrooms have satellite-TV, air-conditioning and an en-suite bathroom (shower, toilet and bidet). Internet connection is available (internet key). The first bedroom has an extra entrance from outside. There is access to the kitchen from the second bedroom. This bedroom consists of two single beds and a double bed on a gallery floor. On the gallery floor is the bathroom and the access to the enormous roof terrace.
Because of the presence of a fireplace and air-conditioning (warm/cold), and the very sunny climate in the southwest of Sicily, the house offers a pleasant stay also during the few cold weeks of the short Sicilian winter.
